Exploring the magic of the artist in creating stunning cut-out creations.”

Melody Hames, also known as Horse Barber, is not just any artist. Create beautiful masterpieces by cutting incredible designs into your horse Romeo’s hair.

Hames began riding his pony when he was only nine years old. Her Connemara pony had Cushing’s disease and, to keep him comfortable, she taught herself to clip.

Twenty years later, Hames became the first UK shearer to offer traditional and creative trimming skills as an equine educator, in the form of education and training.

His skills have been exhibited nationally and internationally. He has even partnered with Andis, an American clipper company, to offer clipping demos to other riders.

Her designs are truly stunning, and each clip is as stunning as the next. He works to inspire others in the industry with educational seminars on both traditional and creative trimming.

She has created many beautiful designs, including a war horse tribute, tribal prints, patriotic designs, and many other amazing creations.

Hames’ unique approach to trimming stems from his love of art and design, his riding skills, and his knowledge of different horse coat types.

Their goal is to create a safer, happier environment for both horses and people throughout the trimming process.

The attention to detail in his work is truly incredible! His passion for horses and trimming talent shines through in every design.
